Use a small wallet instead of a purse. That way all your important information is on your person and your other stuff (God knows what women keep in their purses) only has replaceable stuff in it.

You can get some women's wallets that are pretty small.

Here's my cheap-o versions, since I don't like to really pay more than $12 for any meal:

Burger: Fat Guys, but on Monday nights Leon's on Brookside has $5 burgers on these fantastic pretzel buns. Burgers just okay, but buns are worth it.

Chinese: TK's is good. About $12 a plate too. Sushi is good too. I haven't found great, cheap Chinese food so far.

Steaks: Too cheap to eat steak at restaurant. Perry's Food on Lewis is a great butcher shop with great cuts. You can get a juicy ribeye for $8 or $9 bucks and grill it at home.

Mexican: Rio Verde off of Utica and I-244. It's in a shady area, but the best burrito you will ever eat in your life. Cheap too.

Thai: Lanna Thai 71st and Memorial.

Pizza: Andolini's.

I live in Brookside in an affordable, safe and beautiful neighbor. If only for the summer, get as close to downtown as you can. TU, Cherry Street and Brookside neighborhoods are all very nice.

This is easy to say until you're looking at a bear in the wild.

I once encountered a Kodiak bear while I was visiting Alaska. It was only 30 feet away when I saw it and I turned and ran like a little girl. But the bear was standing in a river full of juicy fish.
