I wouldn't put so much weight on my thoughts, since it wasn't a teacher but actually a peer (the guy thought he was an amazing writer). But what you said makes complete sense---my explanation was definitely missing the subject, verb, and direct object, so your rewording makes much more sense.

Because there was no need for correction. You use "I" when you say things like, "My girlfriend and I went shopping." But when it's a picture, you're saying "this is me" --> "this is me and my girlfriend" --> "me and my girlfriend"

Dachshunds were bred with those long bodies and short stumpy legs so that they could fit in badger, groundhog, and rabbit holes. I've heard two versions: 1) they would kill the animal themselves, or 2)they would latch on to it, and the hunter would pull the dog out by his hind legs to get to the hunted animal.

Aww thanks! And that's adorable about yours! I hope mine keeps his big paws too. Eddie definitely has a lot of personality already, and he's very different from the doxie I grew up with who I had for 16 years. He goes to a puppy play class and even though he's the smallest, he's usually jumping into play battles with the biggest pups! It's pretty hilarious to watch

I've never heard of minis as small as his parents before! And that's surprising how much he's outgrown them.

I used to volunteer at an animal shelter and we would say with some certainty that a dog that was 9+ months old was done growing, although they could still gain some general weight, so I guess yours could be done growing soon

I was also just informed that the tree is copyrighted, so the co-founders would likely want to keep that exact design. Is there a way to make a higher-quality version of that tree? i.e. not made with MS Paint Spray brush tool?

For me, it was the only good thing about our weekly class trips to the school library. I think we were supposed rent "real" books, but I never failed to pick up a copy of this magazine. The picture search page was the best!
