I know you are officially done with this AMA, but I just got to see it happened and really wanted to ask a question...or two.

The marketing for PA1 was brilliant. Did you have any direct connection to the strategy or was that all Paramount Pictures? How much impact do you think the viral, "Its the scariest movie ever!", marketing had on the popularity and success of the film?

Ever since new Sorin was announced I have been developing an esper build for him. I am so excited to see esper control being played and was cheering for it in yesterday's SCG Open... anyways lol here is my build: Sorin, Lord of Tokenstrad

I have a very diverse meta so luckily it gets to play against all sorts of decks. I have found that Zombies is the toughest match up. Delver normally does not pose too much of a threat, but I do have more life gain than you do.

It looks like you are really scared of the geist, and you shouldn't be. This deck excels at chump blocking and sweeping the field. With your current list here is what I would side:

-unburial, elspeth, sun titan, 1 vault
+ 2 divine offering, 2x timely

As for your main, you seem very low on targeted removal. Seems like a lot is put on sweepers.

I need this answered badly. The vorthos in me is raging an internal war of love/hate. I love the potential this has for flavor (gameplay too, but that's a different topic) but when I first saw it I was angry. Angry due to confusion; I can not figure out why they decided to bring her into the story. I think the whole studying the moon back story makes her fit, but barely. She still feels shoved in, flavorwise. Like she is a square block squeezed into a circle...there's still empty space.

So yes PLEASE answer this lol!

Well since it is called ancestral recall I thought a cool theme could be Assassin's Creed. The game is very popular and iconic, and is directly related to a certain Ancestral Recall... Just an idea.

This is pretty cool. Matches the idea they had with cards like unburial rites, but no color splash. I think I heard that there will not be any flashback in AVN though, but that is a different story.

At first I was going to suggest dropping the titan, but I like it as a back up. The 4th honor of the pure is a must in my opinion; this deck needs a t2 anthem for the speed. I always suggest moving timely to the sideboard in aggro decks, just because its a control card. Loyal legions is awesome. Overall you should win a solid amount of games:

-2 timely reinforcements
+1 honor of the pure
+1 gather the townsfolk

I have played against a few builds and all where fast, had some t4 wins. One thing noticed is that none had backup late game, that titan will win some games. Have fun and good luck.

I love Big Sorin. Its a great control card. The cost is high, but the investment is worth it if you plan on playing for a long time.

Killing zombies does nothing to stop it. They all come back anyways, surgical extractino would be a better side board card. Grave titan is only in other U/B control decks. Doom blade kills inkmoth. Without knowing the meta at his store, I would run doom blade since it stops the most likely threats.

At quick glance I would say doom blade over go for the throat and you need creature bombs. Right now your win condition is only nephalia and karn. Other than that good luck and have fun. Oh and get 2 more snap casters when you can lol.

I am of the same mind, but Wizards has not confirmed this and they really want modern to be accessible. I think its possible, however very unlikely.

If they were to reprint any modern staple I think/hope lands would come first. This is completely theoretical of course lol.

I know snacks has been covered, but I suggest a couple power bars (or any protein/energy bar). They are convenient for carrying and eating while providing a lasting fullness. My first Magic convention was GP Orlando and if I did not bring 3 bars and a couple drinks I would have starved; there was a concessions stand, but no way I'd pay $5 for a burger....Oh Good luck and HAVE FUN!
