It's a little clearer in the video (available here: http://deadspin.com/5911087/alex-gordon-is-the-best-advertisement-for-wearing-a-cup) - sorry for not direct-linking the video, but I haven't found it anywhere besides this post

Was watching this game last night. My favorite part was Wieters (the catcher) behind him grimacing in what was clearly sympathy pain.

I have no idea if that's the case or not, but in this instance, the clearing of the neighborhood was specifically driven by this project. (I'd also like to think of my employer as not being a force for evil in the surrounding neighborhoods of its campuses, but I'm entirely too cynical to dismiss this as possible, at least in the past)

Going to an Orioles game next week, need a place to eat in a surrounding neighborhood. Suggestions please! by considertheseain baltimore

Came here to suggest this. Went there last weekend, great stuff.

I'm sure there were some vacants there before, but most of those houses involved people being bought out and relocated to other houses in the area in order the be able to clear the land for the school. I know this because those residents are first priority for the charter school that is being built (everybody that lives in the neighborhood currently or was displaced for the construction can attend the school, the rest of the school space will be filled by applicants from other districts).

Of note: that neighborhood was vacant when the car went through there because it is in the process of being torn down to make room for a new school. http://education.jhu.edu/EBCS/map.html

My girlfriend works in a NICU, and stuff like this (she's in regular contact with a few of her former primaries) is what keeps her going through what can otherwise be a really tough job.

I live on Carey St (the next block up) and walk my dog on Bayard all the time - the odd thing is, I've seen plenty of dealers around the neighborhood, but never on Bayard. At least not anywhere near the building they keep tagging (this has happened a few times)

Why is FOX, the network, so edgy and FOX NEWS so conservative? by melbosain AskReddit

Because edgy regular television and conservative political television are both cash cows?

Fringe benefits of working at the University - gonna be a good Saturday by Burnsiahin lacrosse

Nah, I just work at the university, not in the athletic department. I would have had a better line on it back when I worked at IL anyways.

How much does Bill Pilat's camp cost? by AlexWoodRulesin lacrosse

[–]Burnsiah 0 points1 point ago

I don't know anything about the camp itself, but I always got the biggest kick out of the ad that we used to have in IL (they may still run it for all I know) that showed a goalie being fired on by some machine.... It looked completely ridiculous and I always cracked up.

Good times.
